Candidate Feedback: In Action

The Candidate Feedback In Action page provides information on how the candidate may perform in different work environments along with ways to use their traits to their advantage on the job (based on common Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities). This page also contains information on what problem-solving style best aligns with how the candidate learns and approaches new information, whether they prefer working independently or in a team setting, and their level of interest in leadership roles.

In the interest of providing candidates with the greatest value in this feedback, it’s important that they not only have an understanding of the information that was collected about them, but also how they can benefit from this information.

As candidate action items are intended to be generally informative and developmental, the contents of the In Action page are a different presentation of information found within the Candidate Details which are normally accessed in Wonderlic Select. The teamwork and leadership items specifically are represented within a candidate’s Motivation and Personality scores in their Wonderlic Select results in much more selection-relevant detail.

The Information on this page is divided into the following cards:

Problem Solving

The Problem-Solving card may look familiar from the Overview page. The title and detailed information are derived from the candidate’s Cognitive Ability assessment, but do not give any indication of the score provided in Wonderlic Select. This card may be titled: Learning Problem Solver, Capable Problem Solver, or Strong Problem Solver and is not correlated to the specific opening for which they were assessed, but the general population of candidates. As such, it is expected that this Candidate Feedback may not exactly match information shown in Wonderlic Select's Candidate Details. The detailed sections of this card are intended to assist the candidate in understanding the information we collected about their problem-solving abilities and practices, what these practices may look like at work, and actions they can take to better apply their problem-solving skills. The insights shown are unique to their problem-solving style; i.e.: the information and action items provided for a Learning Problem Solver is not the same as what is shown to a Capable or Strong Problem Solver.

Teamwork

The center card on this page is feedback related to pieces of the Agreeableness scale from the Wonderlic Select Personality assessment and is focused on Teamwork. Depending on the assessment results, the card may be titled: Highly Team-Oriented, Moderately Team-Oriented, Moderately Independent, or Highly Independent. The detailed sections of this card are intended to assist the candidate in understanding the information we collected about their teamwork preferences, what these preferences may look like at work, and actions they can take to work productively within a team setting. The insights shown are unique to their teamwork preference, dependent on their teamwork style.

Leadership

The Leadership card describes information collected from a part of the Wonderlic Select Motivation Assessment. Depending on the assessment results, the card may be titled: Driven by Leadership, Interested in Leadership, Indifferent to Leadership, or Uninterested in Leadership. The detailed sections of this card are intended to assist the candidate in understanding the information we collected about their interest in leadership, what tasks would fulfill this interest, and titles they may research or aspire to based on the feedback. The insights shown are not unique to their interest level, but the recommended actions are; i.e.: the take-aways provided for a candidate who is Driven by Leadership are not the same as those shown to someone who is Indifferent to or Uninterested in Leadership.
