Add the Wonderlic Select v2 stage to a Greenhouse job to ensure the opening and candidates are created and integrated in Select, and candidate assessments can be launched from Greenhouse.
Overview
Wonderlic Select v2 is a stage you add to a job's interview plan in Greenhouse. Once it is in the plan, moving a candidate into that stage allows the Wonderlic assessment to be sent, and their results come back into Greenhouse when they finish.
The Wonderlic Select v2 stage only appears in your stage library once the Wonderlic integration has been set up on your Greenhouse account. You also need Greenhouse permissions that allow you to edit a job's interview plan.
Open the job's interview plan
Open the job in Greenhouse and click Job Setup in the left menu.
Click Interview Plan in the job setup menu.
On the Stages & Interviews tab, click Edit stages.
Add the Wonderlic Select v2 stage
Click Add stage.
Greenhouse warns that changes to the interview plan may affect stage transition rules. That is expected when you add a stage.
Leave Add from library selected.
Find Wonderlic Select v2 in the list, or type it into Search stages, and tick its checkbox.
Click Add.
Pick Wonderlic Select v2 rather than Wonderlic Select. The original stage belongs to the earlier version of the integration.
Position the stage and save
The new stage is added to your plan as a special stage with built-in functionality, shown as a Take Home Test stage. That is the stage type Greenhouse uses for assessments, and it is what lets Wonderlic send and receive the test.
Drag the stage by the handle on its left into the position you want.
Click Save.
In Save changes to interview plan?, click Confirm and save.
The confirmation warns that milestones may be automatically reassigned based on your updated stages. If your job uses milestones, check them after saving.
What to expect
The stage appears in your interview plan. Wonderlic Select v2 now sits in the plan with an asterisk, marking it as a stage with specialized features.
The "no scorecard attributes or interview questions" note is expected. Greenhouse shows it because this stage has no scorecard of its own. Candidates are scored by their Wonderlic assessment, and those results come back into Greenhouse, so there is nothing to add here.
Candidates can be assessed when you move them into the stage. Nothing is sent while you are editing the plan. Moving a candidate into Wonderlic Select v2 is what allows the assessment invite.
Read Greenhouse | Automatically Send an Assessment When Moving a Candidate to the Wonderlic Select v2 Stage to learn more about automated test stage rules.
This applies to one job only. Each job has its own interview plan, so repeat these steps on any other job that needs the stage.
FAQ
Why do I not see Wonderlic Select v2 in the stage library?
The stage appears once the Wonderlic integration has been set up on your Greenhouse account. If the integration is in place and the stage is still missing, contact support.
Where should the stage go in my interview plan?
Wherever you want candidates assessed. Most teams place it after Application Review so that candidates are assessed early. You can drag it to any position.
Can I add the stage to more than one job at once?
Yes, if your user has Bulk Edit access. On the Jobs page tick the checkboxes next to the jobs you'd like the stage added to and click Bulk Actions, then Edit Stages or Interviews.
Why does the stage say it has no scorecard attributes or interview questions?
Because it does not need them. This stage sends a Wonderlic assessment and brings the results back, rather than collecting interviewer feedback through a Greenhouse scorecard.
Will this affect candidates already in the job?
Adding the stage does not move anyone. Candidates stay where they are until you move them. Greenhouse may reassign milestones when you save, so check those if your job uses them.
For best practices all candidates on the same job should be compared against the same measures - it is recommended for all candidates on an opening to receive the Wonderlic assessment.
