FAQ: Will Behavior Change Affect My Results?

Behavior change is growth - but scores reflect effort. If something feels easier over time, that’s when your results may shift.

Yes - But It’s About Effort, Not Just Behavior

In Wonderlic Develop, your results reflect how much effort it takes to consistently demonstrate a behavior - not just whether you do it.

So even if your behavior improves, your score may not change unless it starts to feel easier or more natural over time.

Example

Let’s say you’re working on Assertiveness, a high-effort trait for you.

  • You’ve been speaking up more in meetings

  • But it still takes a lot of prep and recovery time

Your behavior is growing - but your underlying effort level may still be high. That’s valuable insight: change is happening, but it’s still early.

What to Do

  • Track how the behavior feels over time - not just how often you do it

  • Use the Action Planner to build habits that reduce the effort

  • Consider retaking Develop later to see how your effort profile evolves
